The doctor declined to see her, leaving Jessica frustrated and feeling discriminated against.
Now, Jessica is taking her frustration public, turning to social media to share her experience and outrage. She’s also preparing to take legal action, as the doctor failed to provide any valid reason for denying her care.
On Twitter, Jessica described her shock and deep sense of mistreatment, saying, “I’m so hurt. How is this behavior okay? This is a medical issue I’m dealing with, and for doctors to act this way is simply unacceptable.”
Jessica also highlighted the uphill battle she faced just to get referrals—and then to have a gynecologist outright reject her appointment request because they refuse to accept or treat trans patients made the situation even more painful and unjust.
The online community quickly rallied behind Jessica, condemning the doctor’s behavior and questioning the legality of such discrimination. In response, Jessica is moving forward with plans to file a formal legal complaint against the medical practice.
