Following Julie Chrisley’s prison release, the Chrisley Knows Best star dyed her hair blonde again after letting her graying roots and natural brunette tresses grown out behind bars.

Julie Chrisley Returns to Blonde After Prison Release

Julie Chrisley is back to her signature blonde look.

After spending two years in prison—during which she embraced her natural gray roots blending into brunette—Chrisley Knows Best star Julie has returned to her iconic golden honey hair. A fan-captured photo posted on TikTok on June 7 showed Julie sporting a shoulder-length blonde hairstyle while shopping at Target. She kept it casual in a navy chiffon blouse, light blue jeans, and brown sandals.

Julie was released from prison on May 28, following a pardon by former President Donald Trump. Both she and her husband, Todd Chrisley, were granted clemency more than two years after their convictions on charges of wire fraud, conspiracy to commit bank fraud, and conspiracy to defraud the United States. Todd had been serving a 12-year sentence, while Julie was sentenced to seven.

Their 27-year-old daughter, Savannah Chrisley, actively campaigned for their release. Working alongside criminal justice reform advocate Alice Marie Johnson—who received clemency from Trump in 2018 after Kim Kardashian advocated on her behalf—Savannah helped present her parents’ case to the former president.

So, how did the Chrisleys spend their first night of freedom? With a family dinner.

“I made steaks, pastas, salads, potatoes—we had a smorgasbord,” Savannah shared on the June 3 episode of her Unlocked podcast. “My parents enjoyed it and loved it.”

The next morning, Savannah—who took on guardianship of her 19-year-old brother Grayson and 12-year-old niece Chloe during her parents’ incarceration—said she and her mom spent time going over everything the family had experienced while Julie was away.

Julie Chrisley’s Hair Makeover and the Latest on the Chrisley Family

After reuniting with her family following a two-year prison sentence, Julie Chrisley is easing back into normal life—and she’s also made a style statement.

“We laid on my bed and just scrolled through my Instagram,” Savannah Chrisley shared on the June 3 episode of her Unlocked podcast. “I caught her up on all the posts, videos, everything she missed while she was gone. It was so cool to see her reactions and bring her up to speed on life.”

And what about Julie’s hair transformation? That may be thanks to her and Todd’s 28-year-old son, Chase Chrisley.

“Her hair’s darker now,” Chase said in a May interview with Entertainment Tonight. “I told her, ‘Mama, we’ve got to go back to platinum blonde.’”

A Guide to the Chrisley Family

Todd & Julie Chrisley

Todd and Julie have long been the center of the Chrisley Knows Best franchise. Todd, born in April 1969 in Georgia and raised in South Carolina, first became a father with ex-wife Teresa Terry, welcoming daughter Lindsie (1989) and son Kyle (1991). After their split, he married Julie (born January 1973 in South Carolina) in 1996.

Together, Todd and Julie had three more children—Chase (1996), Savannah (1997), and Grayson (2006)—and later adopted their granddaughter Chloe, Kyle’s daughter.

Todd made most of his early fortune in real estate, as highlighted in Chrisley Knows Best, which ran from 2014 to 2023 and spawned spin-offs like Growing Up Chrisley and What’s Cooking With Julie?

In 2022, Todd and Julie were convicted of tax and fraud-related crimes. Todd received a 12-year sentence, Julie a 7-year one. In May 2025, both were pardoned and released following intervention from former President Donald Trump.

Lindsie Chrisley

Born in September 1989, Lindsie is Todd’s eldest daughter from his first marriage. After graduating from Georgia State University, she married Will Campbell in 2012 and had son Jackson later that year.

She appeared on Chrisley Knows Best for five seasons before leaving the show in 2017 amid tensions with her father. Though she and her family reconciled publicly in 2022, the reunion didn’t last. In early 2025, Lindsie confirmed on her podcast The Southern Tea that she is once again estranged from Todd and her siblings.

Still, after her parents were pardoned, she shared a message of hope: “With God all things are possible,” she posted on Instagram Stories.

Kyle Chrisley

Kyle, born in August 1991, is Todd’s son from his previous marriage. He’s the father of Chloe, born in 2012 with ex Angela Johnson. Todd and Julie adopted Chloe in 2016.

Kyle only appeared in the first season of Chrisley Knows Best, but his struggles with addiction and his rocky relationship with the family made headlines. In 2021, he married Ashley Nelson and became a stepfather to her children.

In May 2025, he expressed hope for a renewed bond with his parents, telling E! News, “I’m going to remain hopeful that another reconciliation is possible.”

Chase Chrisley

The oldest of Todd and Julie’s children together, Chase was born in June 1996. He starred in Chrisley Knows Best and Growing Up Chrisley alongside sister Savannah.

After a public breakup with Emmy Medders, he began dating Jodi Laine Fournerat in late 2023. He’s also an entrepreneur with ventures in candles and roofing.

In 2025, Chase was arrested in Atlanta for simple battery after allegedly slapping a bar manager. His lawyers maintain the incident was “blown out of proportion” and deny any assault occurred.

Savannah Chrisley

Born in August 1997, Savannah is the most publicly active of the Chrisley children. A former pageant winner, she later appeared on multiple TV shows including Chrisley Knows Best, Growing Up Chrisley, and The Masked Singer. She also runs her own podcast Unlocked and is a licensed real estate agent.

Savannah was engaged to Nic Kerdiles before their breakup in 2020. He tragically passed away in 2023 in a motorcycle accident. She later dated Robert Shiver, but they split in April 2025.

After Todd and Julie’s incarceration, Savannah became guardian to Grayson and Chloe. She played a major role in advocating for their release, speaking at the 2024 Republican National Convention and working with criminal justice advocate Alice Marie Johnson.

When her parents were pardoned, Savannah shared footage of their return home, captioned: “Reunited and it feels so good.”

Grayson Chrisley

The youngest of Todd and Julie’s children, Grayson was born in May 2006 and joined Chrisley Knows Best as a child.

Now a student at the University of Alabama, Grayson admitted he’s often recognized on campus. Savannah, who gained custody of him during their parents’ imprisonment, has credited him with being a grounding force in her life.

“Many people think I saved him,” she said on Instagram for his 18th birthday in 2024, “but the truth is… he saved me.”

Chloe Chrisley

Chloe, born in November 2012 to Kyle Chrisley and Angela Johnson, was adopted by Todd and Julie in 2016.

Fans watched her grow up on Chrisley Knows Best, and she remained in Savannah’s care during Todd and Julie’s imprisonment. Savannah has often posted about Chloe’s spirited personality and deep emotional impact on the family.

After the pardon announcement, Savannah said Chloe was cautiously optimistic: “She doesn’t want to get her hopes up… but I’m excited to bring my dad home to her.”

“Nanny” Faye Chrisley

Faye Chrisley, affectionately known as “Nanny,” is Todd’s beloved mother. Born in September 1944, she won over fans on Chrisley Knows Best with her humor, dating adventures, and zest for life.

In 2021, she was diagnosed with bladder cancer but later revealed she was in remission. Her wisdom and resilience remain a cornerstone of the Chrisley family.

“The world doesn’t always give you a good deck of cards,” she said on Savannah’s podcast. “So you play the hand you’ve got, brush yourself off, and keep going.”
