“I’M NOT OK” – Michael Strahan’s Heartfelt Revelation Leaves Fans Concerned
Michael Strahan has left fans stunned after sharing a deeply personal and cryptic message that’s sparked widespread concern.
The Good Morning America co-host, who only recently returned to the show after an extended break for a “personal family matter,” posted a quote on Instagram that hinted at ongoing internal struggles. “We’re our own worst enemy. You doubt yourself more than anybody else ever will. If you can get past that, you can be successful,” read the quote — originally shared by his management team, SMAC Entertainment.
Michael added his own words: “The person who is hardest on you is usually yourself.

#RaiseYourGame.”
The post was brief, but powerful — and left fans wondering what might still be weighing on his mind.
Strahan officially returned to GMA on November 15, greeted warmly by co-anchors Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos. An emotional Robin welcomed him back with tearful joy, saying, “We have tears of joy… because Michael is back.”
Michael, clearly moved, replied: “It is great to be back with both of you. It is great to be back. Thank you guys.”
His unexplained absence had prompted concern. On November 6, ABC News confirmed to HELLO! that the beloved anchor was stepping away due to personal family issues. “Michael Strahan will not be with us this week as he is dealing with some personal family matters,” a spokesperson said. He was also notably absent from Fox NFL Sunday, where Curt Menefee told viewers Michael was dealing with the same personal issue.

The past year has been filled with change for the 51-year-old. In August, he became an empty nester as his 19-year-old twin daughters left for college — Isabella to the University of Southern California, and Sophia to Duke University in North Carolina.
Michael had proudly shared the milestones on Instagram, writing:
About Isabella: “Out of high school and on to USC! So proud of you, Isabella! Intelligent, beautiful, and hard-working!! I can’t wait to continue to watch you shine!!”
About Sophia: “Dropped off the youngest of the tribe @sophialstrahan at college! Can’t believe how time has flown by and I’m so proud of her. I know she’s going to crush college life!! #DukeDad”
During an earlier appearance on The View, Michael opened up about the transition, saying: “They’re going to their first-choice schools. They worked really hard. I’m a proud and happy father.” He acknowledged the distance between the girls but added that they’ve long had independent lives, even attending different high schools since tenth grade.

In addition to his twins, Michael is also father to two adult children, Michael Jr. and Tanita, from his previous marriage to Wanda Hutchins.
While Michael’s return to the spotlight is heartening, his recent post is a sobering reminder that even those who appear strong in public may still be wrestling with personal battles. Fans continue to send their support — and hope that Michael is finding peace as he navigates this new chapter.
